Two New Educational Webinar Series Coming Soon: Elder Care and Parenting Teens

Attend one or both of our new educational webinar series—Caregiving for an Aging Family Member or Parenting Your Teens.

Caregiving for an Aging Family Member Education Series

This three-part education and discussion series will offer information and the chance to share experiences with others who care for or support an older adult. Approximately 60 percent of the adult population either is or expects to be a caregiver. Caregiving for aging family members, along with trying to manage the demands of family, work and other commitments can be an overwhelming task. Register for one or all three seminars.

Register for one or all three seminars.

  • Seminar #1: Coping for Caregivers
Modern medicine has worked miracles. As a result, elders tend to live longer. At the same time, the chances of chronic illness or decreased functional capacity are rising. As we move into middle adulthood, many of us will be called upon to provide or arrange care for an aging parent or loved one. This program is for those currently facing this situation or for those anticipating what lies ahead.
    • Tuesday, September 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Web) Register now
  • Seminar #2: Navigating Eldercare Resources
Navigating through the maze of eldercare options can be confusing and overwhelming. This seminar will help clarify the process and give the caregiver tools for gathering resources.

  • Seminar #3: Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias
It’s extremely painful to watch people we love lose their memory, engage in uncharacteristic behavior and lose their ability to recognize us. As they manifest these symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, we offer help as we can, but we often end up feeling helpless and powerless. This training program can help us gain a better understanding of these conditions, discover what treatments are available and explore its impact on the family.
